A DAY AT THE PARK!

This Monday we meet friends at Burroughs Park. I had never been there before but will be sure to go back. It is really nice with lots of stuff for the kids to do. The weather was perfect! There was a nice breeze and lots of sunshine. There were lots of friendly squirrels. Cathy brought some bread for the kids to feed the ducks but the squirrels had other plans. When the bread ran out we went for a walk. First we went on an alligator hunt. Then to a bridge that all the kids loved. It was fun watching the kids find sticks and try to use them as fishing poles :-). As usual sweet little Abby slept through the whole thing. I can't wait to go back when she is awake before it gets to hot!

OUR FUTURE SITTER!

I love this pic of Abby and Layne. It makes me want to cry. I can remember when Layne was that little. We have watched her turn into such a sweet young lady.

EMILY'S FIRST SLEEP OVER

Our little girl is growing up :-( Emily had her first sleep over this past weekend. She spent the night with her best buddy Ethan. Emily, Abby and I met Cathy and Ethan at the mall to play and have lunch. The kids talked Cathy into Emily going to there house to play. Bill was on his way to pick her up after work when I got a phone call form Cathy saying Emily is not ready to go home. She said why don't you just let her stay. I said no she need to come home. Cathy put Emily on the phone and she said in the sweetest voice "I don't want to come home. I want to sleep over Ethan's house". I continued to try and explain how much I would miss her and wouldn't she miss me? After several min of that I gave in and called Bill who said "Let her spend the night, you are going to have to some time. Well needless to say. She had a blast. She had so much fun she did not want to come home. In fact she was mad at Bill and I after Mr. Lance dropped her off. Thank you so much Cathy and Ethan!!

I am in love with my new header. It was done for my by Cathy Hengst of Cathy Hengst Photography! She is the best!!! MY SWEET VALENTINE

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day! We sure did. Emily had a party at school and was wired when I picked her up. She was thrilled with all of the goodies she got from her classmates! When we got home she spent a large amount of time going through them and trying to con me into just one more candy! She is convinced that all of the valentines are gift cards (too cute, boy is she going to be disappointed). Emily was thrilled when aunt Lisa and Austen came over with even more goodies! We had a really nice dinner. I made stuffed chicken Bill's favorite! Then after dinner we gave the girls valentines from us. Emily got a nightgown and the Snow Buddies Movie. Abby got a play mat to make tummy time more fun she really likes it. Then we all settled into watch Emily's movie. The girls were too pooped to make it to the end which made for a really cute pic! Can you believe it is already time to put away the V-day decor and get out the Easter? It will be here before we know it!

DEE'S PONY PARTY

This past weekend Emily and I went to Dee's 4th birthday party! Dee is Emily's first girlfriend! They are one month apart and have known each other almost their whole life. Dee's mom Candi put on a really fun party; she went all out with pony rides, face painting, and good food! Emily was so excited about the pony rides! She rode once and was not to sure about the riding part. She decided she would rather pet the ponies and at the end she got to give one a treat! The weather was perfect and we had a really good time! HAPPY 4th BIRTHDAY DEE!!!

TRIP TO THE ZOO

We went to the zoo last Friday with friends. The weather was perfect! We tend to forget about all of the neat places there are to visit right here in our own backyard. That doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. The kids really liked all of the animals! Emily was not sure about the monkeys when they started to scream. She was pretty much done with them at that point. Ethan and Braden loved it, they could not stop laughing! Abby and I were on the walk way a little ways down and when the monkeys started she got a concerned look that you see in the pic above. We enjoyed our picnic lunch in the shade and the kids ran around like crazy. We all had so much fun; we will have to go back before those hot summer days set in.

TOO CUTE!

Emily and Abby sure are lucky! They have a Meme that has the ability and is always willing to whip up a special outfit for any occasion! Emily's Mothers Day Out Program is having an art show for their fund raiser this year. Emily's class theme is GONE FISHING so for their class picture Meme whipped up the outfit above. Emily could not wait to get to school to show her friends and teachers. Thank you Meme!!!

ANOTHER MONDAY GONE

I hope everyone had a nice weekend! We had a really good one. Saturday I spent some time catching up on some house work, with lots of help from Emily! Bill spent most of the day outside working on getting the property ready for the new fence. That evening we went to dinner with friends. You know you are really enjoying each others company when 3 hours go by in the blink of an eye. The kids went wild at the play area and had a blast! Sunday we went to church and stayed home and watched the Super Bowl. Mixed emotions on the out come. I would have loved to see the Pats go all the way but I really like Eli Manning. The girls and I had a some what lazy Monday. Emily loves for me to let Abby lay on the floor with her. It was all fun until Abby got a hold of Emily's hair. Meme stopped in for a very quick tea party. Emily was thrilled! As a special treat for Emily we had a girl’s night out. We went to see the Hannah Montana 3D movie! It was really neat and our little rock star was rocking out in her seat!

PLAY DAY AT ETHAN'S HOUSE

Cathy and Ethan were so nice to host a play day at there house today! We had a really good time. It was nice to visit with old frinds and meet some new ones. The weather was perfect! All the kids had a really good time playing outside together. I can always be sure that Emily has had a good time at Ethan's house. She falls asleep before we even get out of the neighborhood.
Thank you Cathy and Ethan

POOR BABY ABBY

It has been a long day! The day started off good just like most days. Abby and I dropped Emily off at MDO. I had planned on coming back home to do some house work and start on my bible study. No such luck! Let’s go back a few weeks. Abby woke up one morning and sounded a little snotty. With her being so small and me worried about RSV I took her in and it was just a post nasal drip. No problem rinse with saline, run the vaporizer, and tilt the bed. The nasal drip seemed to be improving. Back to this week. Wednesday Abby sneezed a little and had a very minor cough. On the way home form dropping Emily off I decided to call the doctor and just ask the about it. Thinking they would say if it get any worse you will need to bring her in but hoping they would say go ahead an bring her in. For nothing else but to put my mind at ease. Well they did want to see her b/c she is young. We went in and I sat there thinking why did I do his a I am looking at all of these other kids that are coughing, runny noses, rash, you name it. Thinking if she wasn't sick she will be now. So we see the physician asst. and she says it looks like an ear infection but she wanted the doctor to look at it. While she goes to get the doctor I was thinking poor Abby she is so little to be on medicine. The doctor comes in and look and her ear and looks very disappointed. They look at one another like who is going to tell her. At this point even before they start to talk I am already crying. They say b/c se is so young she needs to go right now to the emergency room for full evaluations. So I do my best to get it together pay and get to the car. At this point the first call I make is to Bill and just hearing his voice I start to cry again. He says he will meet me there ASAP! I get to the ER and thought I was going to die looking at all these sick people around my sweet Abby. Bill is still making fun of me b/c when he got there I was sitting so close to the door that if you moved your leg the automatic door would open. After a not so long wait we see the ER doctor. She says the concern is that in babies this young the bacteria can get in the blood and cause infection through out the body. More tears! She says we will do a blood work up and we would go from there but she suspects that it is just an ear infection that we can treat with antibiotics. Well thank the lord that is all it is! So little sweet Abby has had an ear infection and you would never have known it no fever, no fussiness, no loss of sleep. What a champ! So please say a prayer for a speedy recovery.
