RUB-A-DUB-DUB ABBY IN THE TUB

Abby really likes bath time. She loves to have the water poured on her belly. She even likes it poured on her head which Emily did not like at Abby's age. She was having so much fun in the bath we decided to play with her rubber ducky the Easter Bunny put in her basket. I think the second pic is so funny. She looks like she is not sure if the ducky is going to get her or not. Them in the last pic she seems happy that the ducky moved back to her belly!

EMILY HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW?

Earlier this week Emily and I planted some flowers. The weather was perfect and Abby was napping so we jumped at the chance to have some special mommy and big girl time. Emily really likes to do projects so she had lots of fun. She is really enjoying taking care of them. Let's hope she has more of a green thumb than her mommy and daddy!

EASTER

I hope everyone had a Happy Easter! We had a really fun weekend with lots of Easter celebrations. Our friends the Hengst had a little get together on Saturday. The kids got to color eggs, decorate bunny cupcakes, hunt for eggs and play ,play, play! We were all tired by the time we got home. Everyone went to bed and Mommy got ready for the bunny to come. The next morning we all woke up well rested and excited to go to church! Emily was very excited to get to sit with us in "Big Church". All I have to say about that is Thank God for Sunday School every other Sunday of the year :-). After church we wet over to Meme's and she had some Easter goodies for the girls. From there we came home and to our surprise the Easter Bunny had come to visit while we were at church. Emily was very excited to check out her basket and hunt eggs. I look forward to the coming years when the girls can enjoy these things together. We finished the day with a visit from Lisa & Austen and more Easter goodies. You can see more Easter pics HERE

Newborn Abby

It is hard to believe that Abby is 3 months today! It sure has gone by fast! I feel so blessed to have her. She is a precious angle! She as been such a good baby since day one. She eats good and sleeps perfect! She is sleeping around 11 hours every night :-) She has a perfect smile and some times the sound of her laugh bring tears to my eyes! I am not sure who is more excited when daddy gets home Abby or Daddy! She seems to save up lots of those smiles and laughs for him! I do my best to remember to thank God every for the two most precious gifts he could ever give me. I hope you do to!

BUILD - A - BEAR

Emily's actual birthday was on Monday the 10th. Emily, Abby, Bill, and I went to Build-a-Bear and dinner. Emily got to pick out any animal and any outfit she wanted. That was Bill and my present to her. She settled on a really cute pink leopard. After she stuffed and fluffed them came the hard part the outfit. We went through many choices and settled on a very pretty party dress. Right away Emily knew what she wanted to name her she picked Sissy. I think that it is b/c she is so into being a bid sissy herself. She even picked out a mini matching pink leopard for Abby. Finally all of the birthday celebrations are over and back to life as usual. You can see pics of the whole Build-a-Bear process here

HANNAH MONTANA

This past Sunday Emily and I went to see Hannah Montana at the Houston Live Stock Show and Rodeo. We went with our good friends Cathy, Layne, Ethan, Amy, and Layne's friend Hannah. We had so much fun. We started the day off at the carnival where Emily rode her first roller coaster. She seems to have no fear of any ride. She must have gotten that from both Bill and I. We both love all kinds of rides. Emily and Ethan rode the roller coaster with Amy and had a blast! Thank you Amy! Then we went into the rodeo to see some of the cowboys and cowgirls do their thing. Emily was a little concerned about what they were doing to the baby calf. I did my best to try to explain that they were not getting hurt but I am not sure she was convinced. By the time Hannah Montana started Emily was delirious! She could not sit still. Part from excitement and part trying to keep herself awake. I must say she defiantly ROCKED OUT THE SHOW and PUMPED UP THE PARTY. It was a long day but well worth it. All the kids had a really fun time!

CUTE LITTLE COWGIRL!!

Emily had Rodeo Day at her MDO program. She woke up so excited to wear the cowgirl outfit MEme made her. Emily and I made cookies for her class. They turned out really cute and yummy! When Emily showed her classmates they were thrilled. They all had lots of fun with their stick horses and playing Rodeo games. Now the trick is going to be to get her not to wear te boots everyday!

LIFE ON THE FARM

I guess it really is Rodeo time. We woke up this morning to our dog Max barking up a fit. When I looked out the kitchen window what a surprise. Only in the country can you wake up to your neighbors mini horse and mini donkey in you front yard. Emily was so excited she wanted to go play with them. To her disappointment they do not like people very much, they ran off. Mommy was not excited about the presents they left in the yard :-( I hope Daddy has his shovel ready :-)

ROCK THE VOTE

We went to vote this evening. I hope you all did too :-) Emily was very excited that she was getting to go with us. Meme and I went together so I would not have to haul the girls in. We took turns going in while the other stayed in the car with the girls. Thanks mom, you are always there for me. You help make my life so much easier.Well imagine Emily's disappointment when we got there and there was no boat! Even after explaining it to her several times that we were going to vote not to go on a boat. As we drove off she was still disappointed that she did not get to go on a boat ride. Bless her heart. I know we have many years to come but I look forward to teaching she and Abby how important and what a privilege it is to get to vote.

Emily had a lot of fun playing with her friends from school. Emily was very proud to see her art work on display. Thank goodness aunt Lisa came with us b/c Abby started not feeling well with a cough and a sneeze. Then my sweet Abby spit up in Lisa's hand :-( sorry Lisa. After all of that excitement I won a silent auction for $20.00. I won a free dinner from MOM'S Secret Chef (precooked dinner to go)wooooohooooo!! One night I will not have to cook!
