NO TEARS FOR ME!

She thinks the backpack on one shoulder is cool ;)

I did it! I put Emily on the bus this morning and I did not tear up. I am pretty proud of myself. Emily is loving school. She comes home each day with a smile on her face and lots to tell us. She is excited to go to bed she she can get up and get dressed in the morning.
I went to K information last night. We got some not so great news. The K at our school is to big. All the classes are too full. They are going to have to make a new class with a new teacher. Our teacher told us that 4 are going out of her class. I really really like Emily's teacher. She has been doing it for a long time and said she would not want to teach anything else. I would think it takes a special person to love K. So they will let us know on Friday if Emily is one that will be moved. I am sure she will be fine either way. Let's just keep our fingers crossed that she gets to stay put.

EMILY'S FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN

Our big girl Emily went to her first day of school today. She was so excited she woke up early ready to get dressed. She was a little disappointed when I told her she has about an hour until it was time. She passed the time with a little Disney channel while I made her special requested breakfast of pancakes and sausage with chocolate milk. She wanted to ride the bus to school which for me was out of the question! So she settled for riding the bus home. She did great! Bill and I walked her into her class she but her lunch box in the basket, hung her new backpack on the back of her chair and was ready for business. I felt the tears coming so I gave her a quick kiss and said goodbye. A few tears fell as I walked out the door. Bill gave her a kiss and a few words of encouragement. She was already fast at work coloring her Welcome to Kindergarten bear. Bill then gave me a few words of encouragement and he was off to work. I made a quick stop to turn in a form with the PTA. I held it together until I made it to the car and had a little cry. It seened like the longest day ever. I went out to wait for the bus and I waited and waited and waited. I was on the phone with the bus barn and here comes the bus down the street (30 mins late). The door opened and there she was all smiles! She said to me do you know that I get to go to school everyday! Too Cute.
One funny story- I asked her if she made some new friends and she said yes and that one was a boy. She said I told him something. What did you tell him I asked. I love you she said. OMG I will not be surprised at all when a note comes home about my sweet baby girl driving those poor boys crazy LOL.

Emily will be 5 on Tuesday! Her awesome daddy got her tickets to see the Jo-Bros at the rodeo yesterday. Emily got to take a friend and she picked her best bud Ethan. The kids were so excited. We went on a few rides, feed some animal in the petting zoo, learned how a farm works and more. them we went inside to see the rodeo and the Jo-Bros. Emily was most excited about the Jo-Bros and Ethan about the bull riding. It was so loud when the concert started that our ears are still ringing! DO YOU WII? WE DO!

If you don't have a Wii you really need to get one. We love ours and it is really good family fun. Emily loves to bowl on the Wii. She totally cracks me up. She does not any attention to what she is doing. She just gets up there and swings with not a care in the world. She somehow manages to get a strike or spare all most every frame. The other night she beat Bill and I and we were both trying. She was so proud of herself! We were pretty proud to!

That is the million dollar question! Emily is really into planting and growing things so she and daddy decided that we should take a shot at a garden. The weather was so nice today we decided that the was not time like the present to get started. We got a good start and we are going to give it a go! We will keep you posted on how it goes.

MISS EMILY CAN SWIM LIKE A FISH

Emily started swim lessons last week. We have not been in the pool in months. So I was not sure if she would do. Would she be unsure or would she swim like a fish? She swam like a fish for sure. She has a male instructor and he is great with her. I am looking very forward to her having more fun in the pool this year!

These pics are from behind the glass so they are not so great.

BACK FROM A LONG BREAK WITH A CHRISTMAS UPDATE!

It has been a really long time since I posted. At first I was just busy with so much going on. Andnthen I was in kinda a Holiday funk. Long story short sick kids, sick hubby, two trips to the off site ER and on and on. Everyone seems to be on the up swing of it all now and things are looking better ( Thank the Lord!). Here is a quick recap of most of December.

This is the girls with their Great Grandma Greenlee at the Greenlee Family Christmas party.

We look the girls to see Santa. Emily told us on the way there that she was not going to be scared so Abby would not be scared. She was such a big girl! She told Santa that she wanted a doll. Abby was not to sure about Santa. That sane night we went to Johnny Rockets and the carriage prade with Hengst family. It was a nice night and it got cold fast.

Emily and I went to a Christmas Party. Emily's cheer coach Mrs. Erica and her daughter Hailey had a really nice party and the girls made Christmas orinements and decorated cookies. Then they had lunch and played outside for a while.

Abby Grace truned 1 on the 14th. It was a nice day and we had a small party at home. I will do a special Birthday post later this week!

Emily and I made her first Gingerbread House. We did it while Abby was taking a nap. It was nice to spend a short while working on a project together. It turned out really cute.

Emily was Mary in her school Christmas program. She did such a good job. We are so proud of her. Her programs have been really fun this year. She is ding all the singing and dancing and really enjoying if.

The girls were both not feeling good and were sleepy heads. I could not wait for them to get up and see what Santa brought them. Later that day Bill and Emily when to Bill's parents house and Abby and I had to stay home. Abby was really sick and mommy was really tired after being up most the night with her.

Emily made Daddy a easy bake cake for breakfast the morning after Christmas YUMMY!

We had Christmas again on the 26th when Austen got back from his dad's.
